  • Overweight bags (over 71-100lbs or 33-45 kgs.): $100 USD per bag
  • Oversize bags (over 80” W x 115” L or 203 cm x 292 cm): $100 USD per bag
  • All Eastern fares include 1 personal item that fits under the seat in front of you and 1 carry-on bag that fits in the overhead bin.
  • Personal items (backpacks, purses, or laptop bags) cannot exceed 17" L (43.2 cm) x 13" W (33 cm) x 8" H (20.32 cm).
  • Carry On bags (roller bag, garment bag, tote bag,) cannot exceed 22 pounds (10 kilograms) and cannot exceed 22" L (56 cm) x 14" W (36 cm) x 9" (23 cm).
  • You can fly with a maximum of 6 checked bags, 1 carry-on and 1 personal item.
On Eastern, your bags fly with you. Customers can add up to 6 checked bags anytime, up to 70 lbs (32 kg) from during the booking to when you arrive at the airport. If your fare does not include checked bags, you can save money by purchasing them in advance on Remember, on Eastern, your first bag always flies free. Checked baggage fees:
  • 1st bag: FREE
  • 2nd bag:$65 USD
  • 3rd - 4th bag: $100 USD per bag
  • 5th - 6th bag: $200 USD per bag

  • When adventure is calling, you may need more than just your regular suitcase. Eastern accepts most sporting equipment for a fee, depending on the destination.
  • Even if an item is generally permitted, it may be subject to additional screening or not allowed through the security checkpoint at TSA’s discretion. The final decision rests with TSA on whether an item is permitted through the checkpoint.

  • Each child can have a child restraint system (car seats, booster seats) checked free of charge. Any stroller, playpen or additional child restraint device will be subject to a baby equipment fee. Standard baggage fees apply over and above the limit. Weight allowance of 50lbs per piece applies.
  • Lost and not found? Please send us a message with a description of the item, flight and date, reservation code and your contact information and we will take a look. Contact us here.
  • Delayed baggage must be reported to Eastern as soon as possible. An Eastern team member will create a delayed baggage report for you that will include your contact information and a description of your baggage and its contents to assist in the search.
  • Once the report has been completed, an Eastern team member will advise you of the next steps and work with you to locate your baggage. If your baggage is not recovered in five days, our Central Baggage team will take over the search.
  • The Eastern Customer Support Team handles missing baggage claims.
  • Oversized baggage must be purchased at the airport so an agent can determine the extra weight.

  • To make a group booking of 10 or more people, please contact our group booking department here.
  • We don't offer bookings at the airport at this time. Book online up to two hours prior to flight departure, or you can call Eastern Customer Support for a fee of $25 plus applicable taxes and fees for booking over the phone.
  • Currently, all flights can be changed without a fee.
  • Changes to your reservation must be made at least 2 hours prior to your original flight departure to avoid a fee. Please note, adventurer tickets cannot be changed at any time.
  • Cancelations must be made at least 24 hours prior to you original flight departure. Please note adventurer tickets are non-refundable.
  • If travel was booked seven days or more prior to the departure date, customers will have 24 hours from the time of their original booking to cancel their reservation without being charged a cancellation fee. Bookings that have been changed are not eligible for a credit card refund and are subject to a cancellation fee, regardless of being within 24 hours of the original booking.
  • Eastern processes refunds in 7 to 10 business days. For further information please contact your bank or financial institution.
  • A complete payment is required at the original time of booking. Partial payments are not allowed. When you enter your credit card or Eastern Voucher and click the “pay” button at the bottom of the payment page you’re good to go!
  • We accept all major credit cards including Visa, Mastercard, Mastercard Debit, Discover, and Visa Debit.
  • You can also pay with an Eastern Voucher. 
  • Absolutely! You can rest assured your information is fully encrypted to keep the computer ninjas at bay. Safety is our number one priority!
  • All routes and dates listed on the website are active. If you cannot find a date or destination, the route may be seasonal or discontinued. We suggest signing up for marketing emails here to ensure you are kept in the loop on new routes or destinations.
  • Flights going different directions are different prices, depending on the location. This means you may see a different fare on your departing and returning booking screen.
  • If you are looking to book a group of 10 or more people for a destination wedding, sports event, family reunion, or any other large group event, please contact our Customer Support Team.
  • Eastern fares are based on availability. Occasionally fares will drop due to marketing directives or temporary promotions. As noted in Eastern’s terms and conditions, we cannot retroactively apply the current price to the booking you've already made (like purchasing gas at a gas station).
  • We're flattered you love to fly with us! Eastern currently does not have a frequent flyer rewards program, but check back soon.

Canceled and Delayed flights

Eastern Air Holdings, INC, acquires Hillwood Airways effective November 13, 2023.  Now servicing customers and missions as Eastern Air Express!


  • You can access your itinerary and receipts at any time by using the "Manage My Trip" tab on The receipt will include the total cost of your airfare, as well as any additional purchases such as baggage or seats. Please note, you will require your reservation code in order to access the itinerary and receipts.
  • Sometimes letters and numbers such as one for the letter 'I', or zero for the letter 'O' can be mistaken for each other. Try changing these when entering your code. In addition, you might want to clear your browser’s cache so you can start fresh.
  • The more time the better. Relaxing near your boarding gate is much better than a mad dash through the airport or even worse, being denied check-in and missing your flight.
  • Eastern recommends arriving to the airport at least four (4) hours before our flight’s scheduled departure time. Our flights close 60 minutes prior to departure, so please allow sufficient time to check-in, leave your bags with us, and clear security and immigration at least 60 minutes before your flight departs.
  • For international travel, adults, children and infants require a valid passport. Travelers of all ages require identification that matches the name and spelling on their ticket. You are responsible for making sure that you, and any child/infant travelling with you, have the proper identification and travel documentation required to enter or connect through each country on your itinerary. Please consult with the nearest embassy or consulate of each country you plan to visit.
  • Check your junk mail or spam folder as sometimes messages can end up in there. Your work email may also have settings that filter Eastern’s messages. Please check your email settings and ensure that Eastern is able to send messages to your inboxes. 
  • Still can't find it? Head to My Bookings to enter in your reservation code and last name.  Click "find my booking" and you will be able to see all of your itinerary details.
  • Once you have completed your booking and payment has been processed, you will be emailed your itinerary to the email you included in your booking. We suggest writing down your reservation code for future reference. If you do not receive your itinerary by email, you can head to My booking and enter your reservation code to see your itinerary details.
  • Your boarding pass will be printed and given to you upon check-in at the airport.
  • You may check-in in-person at the airport.
  • Airport check in opens four hours prior to departure.
  • Eastern recommends arriving to the airport at least four (4) hours before our flight’s scheduled departure time. Our flights close 60 minutes prior to departure, so please allow sufficient time to check-in, leave your bags with us, and clear security and immigration at least 60 minutes before your flight departs.

COVID-19 Updates


Testing requirements to enter the U.S. have changed
  • Non-U.S. Citizen, Non-U.S. immigrants
  • Proof of vaccine
  • Vaccinations are not required for children under 18 years old.
  • ALL Travelers - traveling to the United States are required to provide contact information to Eastern Airlines before boarding flights to the United States.
  • If you are not fully vaccinated against COVID-19, you will NOT be allowed to board a flight to the United States, unless you meet the criteria for an exception under the Proclamation and CDC’s Amended Order. A booster dose is not needed to meet this requirement.

  • COVID-19 Test not required to travel.
  • Digital immigration form (eTicket) is mandatory for all passengers to complete prior to entering and leaving the Dominican Republic. Complete the digital form available at the following  link.

On board

  • While Eastern does not currently provide on board Wi-Fi, passengers do have access to Eastern Entertainment, a hub with the latest movies, shows, and more to help pass the flight time.

Seat Selection

  • You can purchase through initial booking, manage my booking, or online check in. If you do not select a seat, one will be randomly assigned at no cost after check in. 
  • Tip: purchase your seats early when originally booking your flight for the best availability.
  • An extra legroom seat can be purchased when you initially book or added through Manage My Booking. Or you can upgrade at the ticketing counter!
  • This can be viewed when booking your flight or making changes in Manage my booking.
  • Cancellations within 24 hours of booking for travel more than 7 days away will allow for seat fees to be refunded. Otherwise, all seat purchases are non-refundable.
  • Absolutely. You can change, upgrade or purchase new seats through our Manage My Booking page, or online check-in.
  • If you are upgrading your current seat, you will only pay the difference in price between your current seat and your new seat. Have your reservation code ready. Seat fees are non-refundable, so choose wisely.
  • If you don’t select a seat, seats will be randomly assigned free of charge at check in.
  • Eastern provides a customizable experience. Not all seats are equal, and not all travelers like to travel the same. Is a seat with extra legroom in your future?
  • While we do not have a "first class" our Globetrotter and Pathfinder fares do offer a premium seating option.

Special Assistance

  • Under its Unaccompanied Minor Service program, Eastern will supervise the child passenger (7-13) from the time of boarding until the child is met at the stop over point or destination. Eastern will require the responsible party taking custody of the unaccompanied minor upon arrival to provide documentation establishing their identity and Eastern reserves the right to refuse to release an unaccompanied child to anyone other than the pre-designated party. Eastern requires that a parent or responsible adult accompany the child until boarding and that this adult provide the name, telephone number, and address of the party meeting the child at the transfer point or final destination
  • The unaccompanied minor service fee is $150 (plus tax) each way
  • Pet Fares. All pets fly FREE on all Eastern flights.
  • Pets Allowed in the Cabin. Eastern accepts small domestic cats and dogs that have been vaccinated and are at least eight weeks old and contained in a pet carrier. Each pet must be accompanied by a Passenger and Passengers may not travel with more than one pet. Passengers subject to the Unaccompanied Minor Service may not travel with a pet. Eastern reserves the right to limit the number of pets carried on an aircraft to six. Pets are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. The maximum size for the container/kennel (length +width + height) must be 9” x 14” x 22” / 23 cm x 36 cm x 56 cm. The maximum allowable weight for both the animal and container/kennel must not exceed 32kg/70lbs.
  • Pet Carriers. All pets in the cabin must be carried in an appropriate pet carrier and remain in the carrier at all times (including head and tail) while in the gate area, during boarding/deplaning, and while onboard the aircraft. The carriers must be leakproof and well-ventilated, and the pet(s) must be able to stand up and move around the carrier with ease. The carrier must comply with the Carry-On Baggage size requirements outlined in Carry-on Baggage section, be small enough to fit under the seat in front of the Passenger and must remain stowed under the seat in front of the Passenger during the entire duration of the flight. The Pet Carrier is counted as Carry-On Baggage, and related provision of Carry-on Baggage section apply. Passengers traveling with a pet may not occupy an exit row seat or a seat with no forward under seat stowage.
  • Pets Incompatible with Air Travel. Eastern retains the right, at its sole discretion, to refuse to transport any pet that exhibits aggressive behavior or any other characteristics that appear to Eastern to be incompatible with air travel at the airport, in the boarding gate area, or onboard the aircraft. The pet(s) must be healthy, harmless, inoffensive, odorless, and require no attention during the flight. If the pet becomes ill during the flight, oxygen or other first aid procedures will not be administered. In the event of an emergency, an oxygen mask will not be available for the pet. Eastern assumes no liability for the heath or well-being of carry on pets.
  • Exceeding either size or weigh limitations. If your pet exceeds it, you may purchase an extra seat for your pet to occupy next to you by calling to our Call Center.
